The Bush family vacation. I would like to make a note that all though this picture is very fake, what is not it the silly LITTLE fish. Yes folks that is a “striper”, (probably from Maine) and it is not big enough to keep.

Wake up America, President George Bush made it to Baghdad faster then he made it to New Orleans.

It is not so much that Katrina was a big hurricane or that it hit New Orleans in a textbook apocalyptic fashion. Our great country is coming out of a situation like 9/11. After spending billions of dollars trying to figure out how to stop great catastrophes, or at least react with some sort of organized fashion. We did not.

The department of homeland security is not capable of a handling a great disaster. After wasting billions of dollars the blame on this one goes to George Bush and the Federal Government. The next time you hear something about being ready for a terrorist attack. Guess what? We are not. Sleep well.

This kind of storm was predicted to happen to New Orleans for quite some time, and the prediction was not far off from what happened. Every one in New Orleans knew that they live below sea level, and a hurricane of any sort or magnitude would be a big problem.

So why did the local and state governments not prepare better? Or, maybe I should ask the question why didn’t the people of Louisiana give their politicians some resources and demand they make the city Hurricane ready?

Bottom line here is the poor and the elderly got screwed in this disaster. The poor happen to be black. Can you guess why the poor happen to be black in the first place? That’s right, segregation is alive and well in Louisiana. As far as the rest of America that is shocked that we actually have poverty in America and it is not quite the white washed suburban gated community we like to think it is.

Well America don’t you hate those mornings where reality just hits you.

Now I ask what is going to happen to the New Orleans poor after they bulldoze their homes and projects to make some new golf courses? Nice Inter city oasis? Yep, watch. All those communities that opened there wallets, homes, and hearts to the homeless families of New Orleans. They just inherited the New Orleans poor for good. New Orleans is not going to want their poor back, the poor probably don’t want to go back, soooooo………
