There is Art In Marfa. A lot of Art. Even the hotel was cool. Best small town ever! The Chinati Foundation decided to set up there little (fucking huge) museum here on a old U.S. Calvary base. They have very large permanent installations from artists like Dan Flavin, Donald Judd, John Chamberlain, and Roni Horn.
What boggles my mind is all this great stuff is in the middle of fuck-all-no-where Texas.
If you get a chance stop here, spend the day at the museum and stay at the Thunderbird Hotel. They are so nevo-retro that they will rent you LPs.
